What a whirlwind life has been these past several months. We have been having so much fun watching Willow grow and learn new things. The holidays were great! She enjoyed all of the great food and family. Christmas Eve is like a circus at my sister-in-laws house and Willow fit right in. She had so much fun playing with her cousin Scarlett, who is 11 months older. Needless to say after that weekend we were all wiped out. Between all the gifts for Luc and Willow from Santa, Grandparents, and Aunts our house looked like Toy's R Us. We feel so blessed!
At nine months Willow's first two teeth popped up at the bottom. She didn't break another tooth until after she turned a year. Now her teeth seem to be coming in two at a time. Between her nose running and the drooling has a constant pool around her mouth. She now has 10 teeth with more on the way.
Willow loves to eat and has not turned anything away yet. I would say her favorite foods are baked Squash, bananas, red grapes, and pasta of any kind. She really enjoys eathing. She definitely enjoys feeding Chewie the food she is not going to eat. Her constant vacuum sits right next to her.
She has been in gymnastics now for 3 months and loves it. She has excellent upper body strength and can pull herself up on anything. Her last class is this Tuesday and then we are going to take time off and enjoy swimming. She LOVES water!
The most exciting event yet is her walking. About 3 weeks ago on a Friday she started taking 5 steps on her own. Then by Monday it was 14 steps and by that Thursday she was walking the length of our hallway moving from one room to another. Now I never see her crawling. She is so happy that she can now move on her feet. She moves fast! She is also a climber. Since she has great upper body strength she tries to find a way to pull herself up on everything. I need to have eyes in back of my head for sure.
Willow is an expert at going up the stairs and coming down on her own. The funny thing is no one showed her how to do it and she is so cautious while doing it. GO WILLOW!
Willow and Luc are getting along great! She misses him when he is at school during the day and loves when he comes home. Luc enjoys playing with her and getting her all worked up. They are your typical siblings. She enjoys pushing Luc's buttons and he enjoys pushing hers. As frustrated as he may make her she always looks at him with adoring eyes and a smile.
I think we are all up to date now. I will do my best to update the blog more often. I have several pictures to share.
Have a wonderful weekend!! Blessings, Andrea

Andrea,
Willow is adorable and getting so big! I'm impressed she can go up and down the stairs. Emma kind of slides down on her belly and she's not very cautious. That's great that Willow's walking and likes gymnastics. Yeah for her eating so well!!
