Summer Fun!

It is hard to believe that summer is coming to an end. Luc will be starting school in just a few weeks and Willow will be celebrating her 2nd birthday in 3 months. We had an exciting summer. We went to Disney World for a week in June. In July we celebrated Willow's adoption day. That was a really special day for us because it was the day we held Willow in our arms for the first time exactly 1 year prior. This month we celebrated Luc's 8th birthday and went on a camping trip to Devil's Lake in Wisconsin. That was great! Willow had a blast! It seems like I blinked my eyes and summer was almost over.

Willow loves to be outside running around, climbing on something or in the water. She does not like to site still unless she is sleeping. She is starting to say new words each day. My favorite is when she says "mo" to me. This is her ways of saying "no". Now when she says that I say "larry" and Luc says "curly". I just can't resist. Her little voice is so cute. Willow's personality is shinning through each day. She loves to dance to any kind of music. She is running, jumping and climbs on everything she can climb on. She tries to act so mature. She sits in a regular size kitchen chair, she enjoys drinking out of regular cups or with a straw. Imagine how many outfits I am going through in a day. She is my little helper. She tries to sweep the kitchen floor, dust, and even helps me load the dishwasher and empty the dryer.

Willow is into dressing up. She enjoys wearing everyone elses shoes except her own. She is also into trying to put her tops on as pants and works really hard to dress herself. Willow is like a sponge and takes everything in. When she sees something new or different she is focused and serious. It is important for her to learn as much as she can about whatever it is that is new to her. Willow loves to look pretty and wear, wear dresses and walk around with her purse on her arm. She is a very femanine girl.

Willow is an absolute joy! She makes me laugh daily. She likes to get Luc's attention however she can and some days it just drives Luc crazy. I can't help but laugh because he get's so serious. Sometimes he can't help but bust out in laughter too. She is growing so fast and her personality is just amazing. Each day is a treasure watching Willow and Luc interact and grow to love eachother more and more. Such a blessing.

Enjoy some of the pictures from our summer fun.

Blessings,

Andrea

Gosh...a year home already?! You are right, it is very hard to believe that summer is coming to an end...can't help to think it was because it never really got 'hot' out...we were just stuck in Spring. Thanks for sharing the photos - I love reading your updates!
